So.... Friday 5am Walmart trip for last minute b-day presents, donuts and orange juice for Monkey's 10th B-Day, get him to the bus stop and rush to work... 8 hours later rush home in a frenzy to get the car loaded while we missed the Monkey's hair cut appt due to conflicting schedules and lack of sleep, family drives in rain to Bham for weekend, 4 hours laterfinally pass out in house full of screaming fighting raccons, after nailing down all personal effects to ensure they will still be there in the morning.
Saturday - wake up to run errands before getting back to the parents house, help the Monk decorate his cake before the panic sets in. Spend next hour frantically trying to get everything together and get to the Galleria where we host lunch and cake party that is surrounded by screaming manicas, cake good/ Monkey thrilled with many offerings (gift cards, self satified looking piggy (bank), knights, shirts, Master Chief, and fun!) and wonderful family visits. Next stop the bowling Alley in Vestevai. Note to self: when bowling... both knee and leg are suppose to go the same way. Knee going to the right while steping to the left is bad. Take Monkey back to grandparents house and go out with friends to Iron pour after dark at Tannehill... wow... absolutely beautiful. Moments of peace. Go pass out at a friends house sans racoon insanity.
Sunday - Rushed back to parents house, Monkey is sick to his stomach from to much cake, junk food and a breakfast involving 9 donuts and a bag of chips. Explain to Naunny that chips do not count as vegtables and donuts do not count in the bread/grains portion of a balanced diet. Adults eat lunch and meet up with more family peoples before heading out of town - delayed leaving and waited a bit with family and wet snakes because of storms and tornados. Enjoyable, if not wet, drive home, get in decently (9pm).
All in all - a perfectly wonderful and very satisfying weekend that made the Monkey thrilled. :D Now just to catch up on all the sleep missed in the next couple of days. LOL
To all that came, visited, called and/or helped out - Thank you so much. You made the Monkey's birthday perfect and something he will remember.
